I place importance on the impact of earlier life experiences, and their affect on  behaviour, expectations and responses as adults. My aim is to help  gain  understanding of your relationships both past and present, and  to provide some insight in to how you relate to others.

An underlying focus, is supporting you to become more of who you are, rather than who others want you to be. By challenging past scripts, choices can be made that previously may have been unthinkable. I am sensitive to what is causing you distress, with a style that is light, yet incisive.

My qualifications include;
  • Integrative Counselling Diploma CPCAB (Pschodynamic and Person Centred)
  • Psychotherapeutic Counselling Diploma CPCAB
  • Certificate in Psychosexual Health
  • Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Certificate in Couples Training
  • CRUSE Trained Bereavement Counsellor

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of the College of Sex and Relationship Therapists (COSRT). Both organisations place importance on maintaining ethical and professional standards.

I have extensive experience of working in counselling organisations, including those specialising in addictions and supporting victims of sexual and workplace  abuse. Before establishing my private practice I worked in the NHS for many years.

I work with individuals and couples, on an open ended, or session limited basis. I am also able to offer telephone and Skype therapy.
